    • The University of Georgia offers an online certificate program in Healthcare Management; this program is accredited by the International Association for Continuing Education and Training. The program consists of seven modules and is designed for those who have management or supervisory responsibilities as health care professionals. Students have up to 30 days to complete each module and must complete six modules before receiving the certificate of completion. Students will study such topics as Human Resource Development and Staff Relationships; Leadership Skill Development for the First-Time Supervisor; Systems Thinking and the Management Team; Project Management Fundamentals for Healthcare; Cultural Competency and Diversity Issues; Finances and Accounting for the Non-Accountant Manager; and Management Ethics and Values-Based Decision-Making.

    • South University offers an online health care management program that is designed for working adults and is accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation. Graduates of this program receive a Bachelor of Science degree in Healthcare Management. The program is designed to help students gain an understanding of the skills needed to be successful in a health care management setting. Students take such courses as Issues in Public Health; Issues and Trends in the Healthcare Industry; Managerial Communication; Ethics and Law for Administrators; Health Information Management Systems; and Leadership in Healthcare Organizations.

    University of California, Los Angeles

    • The University of California, Los Angeles, offers a health care management program designed for students who are currently in college and are seeking a career in health care management; accreditation is held by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business. This program prepares students to apply for and be successful in a graduate program. The program consists of eight Saturday sessions that are held over the course of eight months. Students develop an in-depth understanding of the health care industry and meet with personal mentors who are graduate students in health care management. Students also attend workshops to develop communication skills, learn interviewing techniques and prepare for the GMAT.
