Save "Mea Culpa

One of the arousing problems that this world is facing nowadays is the global warming- the heating up of the earth's atmosphere due in part to air pollution.
Air, oceans and terra firma- all of them are heavily polluted in the course of man's inexorable conquest and ruthless exploitation of his environment.
That is the reason why our 'Mea Culpa' or Mother Earth is an endangered planet.
Its successful tenant seems determined to destroy it, and destroy himself as well.
How has man endangered the earth on which he lives? By sheer fecundity,in the first place.
There are over 5.
1 billion human beings on earth today (most of them in Asia), all of them in need of food and shelter that are often extracted directly from nature, all of them producing waste and garbage everyday.
For about 200 years now, chimneys of industry have been sending up billowing clouds of toxic gases into the atmosphere while pouring noxious effluents into the rivers, lakes, and marine shore that are already poisoned by the fertilizers and pesticides of agriculture.
For the past several decades, the human race has been sending up Chlorofluorocarbons (CFC's) out of spray cans, refrigerators, air conditioners, and hamburger boxes, into the atmosphere where they attack the only defense that the earth has against the sun's ultraviolet bombardment- the layer of ozone cells 10 to 30 miles up in the atmosphere.
Without that defense, we get a lot of problems: skin cancer, eye cataract effect, the heating of the earth that could melt that caps and drown the whole to conserve coastal cities like Manila, and many more social ills.
Hence, we should help hand in hand to conserve nature.
Everyone has the responsibility to do his part since we are all living in a single planet.
The earth does not abide forever.
And the only way for her to abide a bit longer is for man to convert himself from being her attacker into being her protector.
A simple action to combat pollution means a lot for the world.
Each individual should know how to plant trees.
Trees are God-given gifts which helps absorb flood waters and it releases oxygen gas which human needs for daily existence.
Stop the Kaingin System.
The burning of garbage or solid wastes emit toxic gases which harms our atmosphere.
We should learn to segregate our garbage properly.
Acquiring knowledge on how to separate biodegradable to non-biodegradable wastes in our homes and schools should be done and it should be strictly implemented.
Fluorocarbons which destroy the ozone layer and contribute to global warming should be ban worldwide.
Likewise, we should avoid using those products to help conserve nature.
Participate in any group organizations which have the same goal- to minimize air pollution in the country and to conserve the environment.
Nature is for the benefit of living things.
We are not just given the rights to sustain it for our own good.
Rather, we have the corresponding responsibility to conserve, maintain and protect it as the years progressed.
