20 Fun Ways To Brainstorm Your Future ...and Retirement

A dozen years ago a couple had me over for a financial discussion. Meeting with them I was amazed to discover they had no "vision" of their future, no ideas or dreams of the life they wanted to enjoy. They told me, "that's why you're here!"

Today we have vast resources through social media and many other forms of discussion, to help brighten the lights, add rich texture and color, and create the sort of future we want to enjoy.

20 fun ways to brainstorm your future ...is a fun resource I developed to help people overcome their fog or fears of the future, especially in regard to the future horizons of our retirement. So now, you can do this alone, as a couple, or even as a group experience.

By yourself, consider the five questions below that you like best and then write down whatever comes into your mind about those five. Sometimes you may return another day to ponder and add even more notes. Or enjoy turning this into a vision board for yourself. Can you write a song or draw a picture of the results you've created?

As a group event this is also tremendous fun. Get some people together. Take a vote on the top five questions you want to explore. Offer prizes for the ideas getting the most votes. ...or for the sub-groups who could convert their ideas into song or picture! Afterward, send people home with the whole list so they can remember the group discussion and explore this theme further on their own.

Here are my 20 fun ways to Brainstorm your future -- and retirement.
