How to Stretch Out Laminate
- 1). Turn on your laminating machine and heat it to the required temperature. Refer to the instructions provided with the machine at the time of purchase.
- 2). Place the paper object of your choice between two separate laminate film sheets, or between the two films of a laminate pouch. Use a flat work space to assemble the materials. Place the assembly in the receiving end of the laminating machine.
- 3). Make sure the roller near the heating mechanism holds the top layer of laminate. The rollers pull the bottom layer forward as the top layer is rolled out simultaneously, creating a pull-and-push effect. The heating mechanism closes the two layers of laminate film together at the point where they touch, which seals the item inside.
- 4). Make sure the laminate film is now bonded to the paper. It will try to return to its original form, but because the roller applies an equal amount of pressure to the top and the bottom layers in different directions, the forces cancel each other out and the laminated paper lies flat, indicating the laminate has been fully stretched over the object.
