Network Marketing - Isn"t it Wrong to Sell to People You Know?

I often get challenged on the system used to build a network marketing business.
Often people feel that it is wrong to sell a product to your friends and family, because you will be taking their money.
People think to themselves, "Why don't they just sell this stuff in a store?" Let me ask you a question...
what does a store do? Let's take the example of a nutritional supplement store (because most Multi-Level Marketing companies are in the Wellness Industry that is what they would be closest to, in the typical business model).
If you were to open a nutritional store you would have to invest a significant amount of money, right? Probably around $100,000, right? You would be required to hire staff and maybe management too.
You would have to do weekly or monthly inventory orders to make sure you had enough stock.
You would run advertising campaigns to find customers.
And you would probably hold a grand opening where you invited your friends, family, and any other networks you had, to help get your business of the ground.
Are you following me? This is how most businesses work.
So, in essence, you would hope that some of your "network" would become customers and start spreading the word through referrals about the great new store you just opened and how great your products are.
You would also become friends with many of your new customers too.
But in a traditional store, who gains financially? Only you do...
the store owner.
Your customers do not gain, even when they refer other customers to you.
Your staff does not gain, they have a fixed salary.
Granted, some might gain health because of what you are offering, but that is where it stops.
So why when you start a traditional business is it okay if your friends and family support your business? But yet when you start a network marketing business, you don't want to share that same excitement with the people you care about? If you knew you had the best product or service in the world sold out of your store, wouldn't you want the people you care about to benefit from it? Would you feel guilty about them spending money in your store to get such a product? My guess is probably not.
Network marketing allows you to start your own virtual business.
The difference is you get started for a minimal amount (usually under $1500), and your fixed overhead is only about $10 a day.
You are offering a product and an opportunity that to help others gain health and prosperity in all areas of their lives.
Why wouldn't you want the people you care about to gain?  Perhaps that's why there are over 58 million people investing their time and energy in the global Network Marketing Business Industry today.
