    The History

    • The history of the Admiral Fell Inn dates back to the 1700s. During the past 300 years, its seven buildings have served as a theatre, shipping chandlery and a boarding house for sailors. Now it is a luxury hotel that is known around the world set along the waterfront community of Fell's Point. It is just down the road from the saloon called The Horse You Came In On, which is thought to be the location that Edgar Allan Poe, a famous poet, was last seen living. You can take a ghost tour through the hotel Friday evenings from 6 to 7 p.m. or on Saturday evenings from 5 to 6 p.m.

    The Rooms

    • Each of the 80 rooms at the Admiral Fell Inn are different with views of the square, courtyard or the harbor. There are some rooms with king beds, and many feature a Jacuzzi. There is even a bi-level suite that has a living room downstairs with a bedroom and bathroom on the second level. All rooms come with the use of a bathrobe, complimentary bottled water and two phone lines. All rooms are smoke-free.

    Hotel Restaurant

    • Within the hotel, you can find Meli Patisserie & Bistro, a Mediterranean pastry shop, bar and restaurant. The menu includes salmon, duck, penne chicken, burgers and Maryland crab cakes, prepared by the Executive Chef Rashad Edwards. The morning cafe opens at 7 a.m. and the bar closes at 2 a.m. Live music adds to the dinner atmosphere from Thursday to Saturday. The restaurant was named 2009 "Best New Restaurant" by Baltimore Magazine Restaurant Guide.

    Packages and Events

    • Admiral Fell Inn has a variety of packages available for those traveling including spa treatments, the ultimate harbor experience and a cruise hotel package ideal for those who are heading out of the Baltimore port. Additionally, special events for weddings, corporate events or other special occasions can be accommodated, giving you the opportunity for a personal and specialized event.

    Price

    • The Admiral Fell Inn ranges from $150 to $250 on weeknights, as of 2010. Weekends run from $180 to around $300. This is a daily rate; however, the hotel does offer discounts for AAA and AARP. Package prices do vary, depending on what you choose.
