Last Minute Checklist For Brides-to-be
As the day you have been planning for comes closer and closer, there will be a thousand things on your mind. So, when you are about two weeks away from your big day, you need to look at some important details. For the bride, bridesmaids and couture wedding dresses are probably top of the agenda, but here is a short list of some other things that need your consideration too.
Bride-to-Be Wedding Day Countdown
Naturally, you want to look your very best on the day itself. So now is probably the best time to get that all-important facial done. Having it too close to the wedding may not be the best idea as it may add cause breakouts when you really dont need them most! Two weeks out is also a good time to do a trial for your make-up and hair to ensure a smooth flow on the day itself.
You and your entourage should go for a final fitting for your couture wedding dresses at this time too. A final trial this close to the event is important, as you may need minor alterations - but dont wait until the last minute for this. Try out your shoes too, to make sure you will be entirely comfortable. Many brides opt for the flatter kind, as they have to spend hours in them and don't want to be cringing in pain on the day!
Delegate Duties
You may want to allocate certain jobs to other people so you have less stress to deal with. If you have guests arriving from abroad, hotel reservations and special meals to be taken care of, get one of your friends or bridesmaids to take care of it. Get them to order things like welcome baskets and have a chat with the caterers for the final preparations for the wedding meal. The same goes for your cake maker. It is important to give out these jobs to friends and family so that they can be taken care of in a timely fashion, but also so they can feel a part of your special day. Another important job you may want to delegate to your maid of honour or a family member is RSVPs that may not have come in yet. Once you have all these in, you can go on to plan the seating arrangements.
Keep Fun in Focus
If you have already planned your honeymoon (and we hope you have by now!), this is probably a good time to take some time to shop in preparation. A bride-to-be needs to relax, so go buy that bikini then get a massage or catch up with friends over a coffee. Whatever you do, dont stress yourself out. If you are planning a night out with your girlfriends before the big day, this is a good time to do that. Lastly, plan your speech now. It may need loads of rewriting and editing, so it is a good idea to start early on this.
