How to Install Fender Flares on an F-150 OEM

    • 1). Clean the area around the wheel well where the fender flare will be installed using a clean cloth dampened with rubbing alcohol. Ensure that all dirt and debris are removed from the paint to allow the double-sided foam tape to properly adhere to the paint surface.

    • 2). Unscrew the mounting screws you will find located on the inside lip of the truck's fender. There are six which are located on the perimeter of the F150's wheel well, as well as one on each side at the bottom.

    • 3). Peel the backing off the double-sided foam tape which is attached to the back of the Ford F150 fender flare. Align the fender flare in place so that the mounting holes of the flare line up with the mounting holes from which you removed the screws in the earlier step. Press the fender flare gently but firmly into position to affix the double-sided tape to the fender of the truck.

    • 4). Reinstall the screws through the mounting holes of the fender flare, tightening them down using the screwdriver. All four fender flares install onto the wheel wells of the F150 in the same manner.
