Who Is the Owner and Who Is Enjoying?
To whom our forest ecosystem belongs to? Who is the horticulturist or agriculturist who planted different plants in the forest ecosystem? Does man has any role in forest formation or forest destruction?
Man has defined various ecosystems as national park, sanctuary or biosphere reserve etc., with a purpose of protecting them. The greed of man has caused incalculable destruction of our forest cover. Does man know who has created the forest ecosystem?
The forest cover, by and large was created by animals that do not have any qualification in agriculture or horticulture or forestry science. The animal planted the seeds of many trees and plants in different parts of the forest as a gesture of gratitude to the food provided to them by these plants. Besides being played a role in pollination, seed dispersal also done by many animals. The seed dissemination from the parent tree to a different locality is inevitable for successful existence of a new plant.
Plants offer very tasty and sweet fruits or nuts to the animals. They also provide residence site to these animals. They offer their best to the animals in turn animals also ensure that the seeds of these plants are planted elsewhere and continuity the plant is assured. What an absolute win-win relationship exist in nature. Does man has any credit to claim on forest.
The nature functions on the basis of the law of give and take. Only when something is given something can be demanded or expected. Continuous giving and taking is indispensably interdependent in nature and that is how nature flourishes. But man knows only one thing that is 'take/grab/destroy the forests cover continuously'.
Man must realize that he has very little to claim from nature when compared to the property rights and legitimacy of animals on our forest ecosystem. Before man takes his axe and saw to pull down a tree in the forest, he must ask contentiously to himself, whether he has sought and obtained the permission of various animals that made the forest to exist and flourish in nature.
