The 10 Best Kid-Friendly Hotels in Las Vegas

I don't always take my kids along with I visit Las Vegas (although they always want to go). When I do, I look for a hotel that caters to kids. It makes the trip run so much more smoothly. In fact, my kids love Las Vegas mainly because of these fabulous, kid-friendly hotels.

1. Four Seasons Hotel Las Vegas

Kids are welcomed and even pampered at this elegant and stylish hotel at the southern end of the Las Vegas Strip. On request, the hotel will even childproof your room before you check in.More »

2. Red Rock Resort & Casino

My kids still ask to return to this luxury casino resort about twenty minutes off the Strip. At one end of the casino (and with a separate entrance and parking popular with local residents) is a kid-friendly playground with a multi-screen movie theater, bowling alley, video game arcade and a two-story supervised kids' program, Kids Quest, which my 5-year-old raved about. It takes babies as young as 6 weeks and kids as old as 12, will feed kids meals and snacks, and costs about $7 an hour. (It's open late, until 1 am on weekends, perfect for an adults-only dinner, movie night or some time at the blackjack tables).More »

3. Luxor Hotel Casino

Older kids will love this iconic pyramid on the southern end of the Las Vegas Strip housing high-tech entertainment and elevators that travel at a 39-degree angle. One entire floor of the Luxor is dedicated to entertainment of the non-gambling variety such as IMAX movies, video games and virtual reality rides.More »

4. MGM Grand Hotel Casino

One of the largest hotels in the world, the MGM Grand dominates the corner it takes up, with a huge gold lion and gigantic video screens outside. Nine restaurants include the entertaining Rainforest Cafe. Kids can view the live lions on display inside (a nearby gift shop sells the stuffed variety).More »

5. Excalibur Hotel Casino

At night, this castle is like a kid's fairy tale come true, lit up in pinks, purples and greens. Across the drawbridge lies one of the most kid-friendly hotels in Las Vegas, with a King Authur theme that will delight kids and anyone who grew up loving tales of knights in shining armor. Puppet shows and costumes will enthrall younger children. Rooms are some of the most inexpensive on the Strip.More »

6. Circus Circus Hotel Casino

Older kids and teens will appreciate this hotel for it's backyard theme park, the Adventuredome. Roller coasters, water rides and video games make this indoor theme park loud but entertaining.More »
