Third, ferrets have a common disease called the Insulinoma which is basically pancreatic cancer.

This type of disease normally occurs with ferrets aged four to six years but it is also possible for other ages.
Its most common signs are weight loss, depressive moods, exhaustion, weakness and lack of coordination.
At times, your ferret may even salivate and experience severe episodes which can later result in seizures.
When you notice such signs with your pet, get him to a veterinarian at once to have him checked.
Most likely, he will undergo surgery and long term medication afterwards.
When such disease occurs for a second time, then it is probable that a second medication may be best for your ferret.
