A Look At The Rumoured Spec List Of The Upcoming Samsung Galaxy S3

The Samsung Galaxy S3 rumours just keep on coming. It seems that every day, someone claims to have access to leaked blueprints and spec sheets, or prototypes of the device. Such rumours have been circulating for some time now, and this has given us enough information to build up a picture of what the phones features list is likely to look like.

In this article I will look at the features of the device, both rumoured specifications and its confirmed features also.

Screen
The Samsung Galaxy S3 is likely to include a 4.7 inch touchscreen, making it considerably bigger than its popular predecessor the Galaxy S2. The screen is all but certain to include a resolution of 720x 1280, and we would expect nothing less from a new flagship smartphone. More interestingly, it has been widely suggested that the handset will sport an edge to edge display. This means that the screen will stretch right up to the edges of the phone, making it super easy to use the touchscreen, whilst also contributing to its qualities as a multimedia device; making full screen movies even more immersive.

Camera
Like the Sony Xperia S, many experts are predicting that the camera on the Samsung Galaxy S3 will sport a 12 megapixel camera. This will put it among the top camera phones out there, with the majority of new smartphones sporting an 8 megapixels camera. With 12 megapixels, the still images will be of great quality and of course the ability to capture 1080p HD video will also be included. All the usual features like autofocus, an LED flash, image stabilisation and face detection will no doubt be included, along with some more innovative features like a panoramic capture mode which is found in several new handsets like the Sony Xperia S and HTC One X.

Processor
As the new flagship smartphone, the Samsung Galaxy S3 will of course provide an increase in processing power over its predecessor. It has recently been confirmed by a Samsung executive that the Galaxy S3 will have a quad-core 1.5GHz processor. This will put it among the ranks of the most powerful smartphones out there. The HTC One X and LG Optimus 4X HD and are currently the only smartphones to boast this feature, so the Samsung Galaxy S3 will match these in terms of their high levels of performance from a variety of different features, ranging from the screen, web browsing speeds, to the camera and loading times of apps.

As you can see, the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be one of the highest spec phones out there. It is expected to be officially announced next month, and it sure to be one of the biggest tech releases of the year.
