Transportation Safety Institute Training

• The Transportation Safety Institute develops safety training programs for the Department of Transportation, including impaired driving programs, traffic safety project management and vehicle occupant safety. It also trains National Highway Traffic Safety Administration personnel in crash testing.
  
  

National Work Zone Safety Information Clearinghouse

• The National Work Zone Safety Information Clearinghouse provides links to training courses, programs, videos and webinars regarding safety for flaggers working in traffic control along highways, as well as a national database containing all flagger certification requirements by state.
  
  

National Highway Institute Training

• The National Highway Institute focuses on training within the transportation industry. Its comprehensive highway safety training programs focus on areas such as construction zone safety inspection and roadside safety design.
  
  

Other Training

• In addition to programs through its affiliate and subsidiary agencies, the Federal Highway Administration also offers training materials on areas including railroad grade crossing safety, pedestrian safety, red light running, motorcycle safety and use of safety belts.
