The next step is to decide what material you would like to have on your countertop. Your choices range from marble and granite to wood and stainless steel. Many people like the stone tops because the look is elegant and warm and this material is incredibly durable and easy to clean. Wood countertops are better for smaller kitchen islands, which work as butcher blocks. If you want a very easy-to-clean top and something that looks classic and elegant in any kitchen, stainless steel is a great choice.
