How to Maintain Whirlpool Tub Jets
- 1). Turn on the hot water and allow the tub to fill, turning the water off after all jet openings are submerged.
- 2). Pour 1/4 cup powdered dishwasher detergent into the tub water.
- 3). Add either 1/2 cup white vinegar or 1/2 cup bleach to the water also. Both work well as disinfectants, simply use whichever ingredient you prefer.
- 4). Turn on the jets and let them run at high speed for 15 minutes.
- 5). Drain the tub, refill it with plain hot water and let the jets run another 15 minutes. Drain the water once more.
- 6). Repeat this process once per month to keep your Whirlpool tub in peak operating condition.
