How to Fix a Dyson Vacuum With a Suction Problem

- 1). Remove the dust-catching bin from the front of your Dyson vacuum cleaner and lift the panel at its base to access the filter. Take the filter out, rinse it with running water and allow it to dry for 24 hours before putting the filter back inside of the machine.
- 2). Unplug the Dyson from the wall and remove the hose and wand attachments from the vacuum cleaner. Check the inside of both components for any blockages and remove them.
- 3). Unscrew the small, plastic U-bend at the base of your Dyson vacuum and detach it from both the hose and airway leading to the bin. Look for obstructions in the part, remove them then reinstall the U-bend.
