• An old neighborhood favorite, York Tavern has a full bar and a laid-back atmosphere. The drink prices are the lowest in town, but the drink selection is just as diverse. It also offers a large menu of bar food. It's located on the southern edge of Oak Brook, on a country road less than a mile away from the 294 Highway. But locals return to York Tavern time and time again for the beer selection. In a town with a reputation for affluence, York Tavern couldn't be further from such a label. • As its title indicates, All Star Sports Bar and Grill is the ideal bar for sports fans. There are more than 40 televisions throughout the large space, with plenty of tables for any groups who want to enjoy appetizers or bar food along with their beer. Waiter service is offered, and reservations are accepted.The All Star Sports Bar and Grill also offers catering. The bar opens at 11 a.m. every day, and closes at 11 p.m. (10 p.m. on Sundays). Houlihan's

• Technically a restaurant, Houlihan's attracts adults to their bar area even if they're not eating. But since it's a restaurant, kids and families often eat at Houlihan's. This means that the bar atmosphere is small and wholesome. For drinkers who just want to relax and not be bothered with their brew, Houlihan's is a smart choice. But things do liven up on the weekends, especially on Saturdays when the bar stays open until 2 a.m. Every other night, Houlihan's is open until 1 a.m. (except Sundays, when it closes at midnight). Houlihan's is located in the Oak Brook mall, just off Highway 88.
