Why your kitchen is the most important room in the house
Some people may argue the fact that your kitchen is not the most important room in your home. However, please read the following and then tell me if you would still disagree.
Food
Meals we eat at home are prepared and normally cooked in our kitchen. Even our barbeques have had food prepared in our kitchen. Now some people choose to eat elsewhere in their home but for the most of us we will still dine either in our kitchen or very near to our kitchen.
Family
Our kitchen is also where families come together for set periods of the day. It might be the only time some of us get together in the day, so dining and the conversations we may have around our table are very important for the fabric of any family and it is where many problems and issues are resolved.
Celebration
At festive times and vacations, we usually celebrate together with our loved ones over a meal prepared and cooked in our kitchen. We meet family who have come home for vacation or to visit. If there are any other family events to be celebrated, or even to be grieved, then we yet again return to our trusty kitchen.
Children
Children are a large part of most families and are taught many of life's lessons around the dining table. This is even where they are taught social skills and learn how to interact with others at meal times, at the dining table. These lessons will be taken from childhood into the rest of their adult life.
Heart and soul
So I have come to call our kitchen the heart and soul of any home. The kitchen will regulate the heartbeat of any family. It is where we get together to have more than just a meal. It is a vital part of any home and is therefore the most important room in the house that affects the physical and emotional health of all family members. This is, in essence, the complete kitchen for any modern home.
