How to Decorate Around a Small TV

    • 1). Decide on your TV's purpose and function. If you don't watch it often, place it in an armoire, and you can open and close it for evening shows. If it's something that's constantly on throughout the day, you'll need to have it more accessible.

    • 2). Create a backspace that will serve as the focal point, of which the TV will only be a single component. This could be a large shelving unit or a large rectangle of wallpaper or paint that will help to separate and define the space.

    • 3). Add the other components. These can be photos, art pieces, sculptures, books or lamps. Choose items that are the same size or larger than your TV and coordinate with the color palette. Work in odd numbers for a more visually appealing set-up.
