Be Prepared

• Think about what you like about the girl and be prepared to tell her. Don't exaggerate, but paying her an honest compliment will let her see that you are being serious. Perhaps you love the way she dresses, the way she laughs, her taste in music, or her caring personality. Tell her why you enjoy spending time with her. A Time and a Place

• Even if you have a solid idea of what you want to say to the girl, you don't want to blurt it out when you are both busy or surrounded by people. This will make you both feel self-conscious and awkward. Wait until you are hanging out alone or take her to a quiet place you are both familiar with. You need to both feel comfortable, so instead of taking her to an expensive restaurant, why not buy her ice cream and take a walk through the park.
  
  

Three Little Words

• You don't have to present a girl with a sonnet that Shakespeare would have been proud of, but a love letter can be the most romantic way to tell a girl how much she means to you. Put pen to paper and see if you can come up with a few words that express your feelings. Make it cute by putting it in her locker or in between the pages of her book for her to find.
  
  

Be Confident

• People say it is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all, so be confident that what you are doing is the right thing. Make sure you look your best and believe in what you are saying. And if the answer is no, then just remember that you have now been set on another path to find another -- better -- girl.
