Effective Ways To Remove Cat Urine

Over the years, our family has adopted a number of stray cats and we have helped them to adjust to living indoors with a loving family.
But, a few of them have had problems with spraying and usually urinate away from their litter boxes.
As much as we love them, we cannot put up with them using the house as a litter box.
For this reason, we had to start looking for ways to train them, whilst also trying to find the most effective solution to remove cat urine stains and odor.
If you are having similar problems at home, the following suggestions for removing cat urine will help to make your life easier.
Whenever you are cleaning the urine stain, you should repeatedly blot the fabric to eliminate as much liquid as you can.
Use some cool water to rinse off the entire spot and then blot once again.
Combine ½ cup of white vinegar together with 1 cup of tepid to warm water and then use this to saturate the area with the stain.
Put a white towel on the stain and place a heavy item over it to help absorb the liquid from the fabric; this might require several towels.
You can allow air to dry the fabric or use fans if needed and then repeat this process within 48 hours.
Laundry detergents with enzyme cleaners are ideal for removing cat urine odor and stains from clothing.
You can pre-treat the clothes with any stain remover that contains enzymes and after that rinse with an enzyme detergent.
In the event that the cat urine is on your upholstery or carpet, mix the laundry detergent in some warm water and then use it to remove the stain.
You can use a sponge, some cold water and a clean piece of cloth to blot the area.
Hydrogen peroxide is a popular stain remover and it can also work well to remove cat urine odor and stains.
Fill a spray bottle with about 3% of hydrogen peroxide and use this to spray over the area with the stain until it's totally saturated.
After that, you can use a clean, white towel or cloth to blot the stain for roughly one minute (don't rub) and then continue blotting to dry out the spot.
Hopefully, these suggestions will help you to remove cat urine.
If not, you can find other solutions on the market that you could try.
Remember that if a cat is constantly using the house as bathroom instead of the litter box, it is best to get advice from a vet because this could be a health problem.
