- Homosassa is famous for the Homosassa Springs Wildlife State Park, home to injured and rehabilitated manatees, and a natural spring area, where visitors can view manatees in their wild surroundings. The spring water temperatures never dip below 72 degrees.
- Crystal River is home to Kings Bay, which filters into the gulf. There are various lakes, creeks and bays surrounding the bay, that go out into the gulf, making Kings Bay an angler's main destination. Anglers frequent King's Bay to fish for redfish, trout, flounder and more. There are various creek waterway sections, with heavily vegetative spots where the meaty fish swim.
- Inverness is a small southern town adjacent to Crystal River and has historic hotels and buildings. Elvis Presley filmed a scene from one of his movies in the old courthouse, and this is the area for dining and antique shopping.
