It's almost summer and as the weather warms up, we begin to think about our upcoming vacation.
As we begin to search for our dream vacation, we come across a great deal and we jump at an opportunity too good to be true...
only to watch it all fall apart.
Our hopes are dashed and we may be out a good chunk of money.
There are many travel scams out there and here are a few to be aware of.
That "Too Good to be True" Deal People are always willing to take your money and there are a number of things to look out for as you begin to make plans and reservations.

These scams want you to pay hundreds of dollars now for future travel.
When it comes time to travel, you can't make your reservation or you are asked for more money.
To avoid this scam, join clubs only if you know someone else who participates and has had a good experience with the club.
Discount airline tickets seem like a great deal; however, if you are asked for a funds transfer rather than being able to use your credit card, this is one to avoid.
Reputable firms will allow you to use your credit card to book your reservation.
A great deal on an airfare may also have some fine print for which to be wary.
The initial price will look good and then as you go through the booking process, there are additional fees added to the cost of the ticket.
Soon you are paying a lot more than you expected.
If it looks too good to be true, it probably is.
Some cruise lines and small airlines offer great prices and then go out of business before you travel.
For you, there is no travel and no refund.
Watch out for prices way below market.
