• Founded in 1924, University of Denver's Lamont School of Music enrolls music majors at the graduate and undergraduate levels. The university offers a conservatory program as well as a jazz and commercial music program. Facilities include a concert hall, a recital hall and numerous recording rooms equipped with state-of-the-art multi-track recording technology. Its Newman Center uses technology that provides students with hands-on training using the latest music-production equipment. University of Colorado at Boulder

• The College of Music at the University of Colorado at Boulder offers 23 fields of study covering all genres of music. As of April 2010, there are 350 undergraduate and 200 graduate students. Renowned musicians such as James Galway and Wynton Marsalis have taught master classes on campus.
