While most schools are focused on instruction in musical performance, a handful of colleges offer programs in music production.
- Founded in 1924, University of Denver's Lamont School of Music enrolls music majors at the graduate and undergraduate levels. The university offers a conservatory program as well as a jazz and commercial music program.
