Energy Healing is Weird

When I tell people I'm an intuitive energy healer, I get some interesting responses. Sometimes, people take a long pause  and give a blank look. Sometimes they ask what I am picking up about them in that moment, and sometimes, there is a look on their face of "oh your one of those people". I am one of those people…and I like to socialize, race bikes, love endurance sports, practice yoga, spend lots of time outdoors and in the company of loved ones, like to cook, study foreign languages, travel and I run my own business. I am actually probably more normal and grounded than you think, and so is energy healing.

Energy is at the center of who we are. Who we are is comprised of cellular matter and spiritual essence. Energy makes up how we manifest physically, but energy is also what makes up our emotions, characteristics and the feeling state or "vibe" we carry. Everyone I have ever spoken to has, at one point in their life, felt the energy of another person. I am not referring to the presence of another person, but the vibe of another person. For example, someone they know very well is appearing down or tense. The person is not saying anything different to indicate this; it's just a feeling. This is an example how energy resonates from a person.

Energy is the unseen intelligence in a human being that makes up the whole constitution of a person. This includes, emotions. When the energy of our emotions is not felt, the energy can store in the subconscious of the body and create energetic blockage. Energy Healing addresses this blockage. Energy healing works on not what a person knows they are carrying, but the energy the person does not know they are carrying. Many people are unaware of how they are presenting themselves in the world or why they keep revisiting the same struggles. This is often due to the energy the person is carrying.

So how do you clear energy? There various ways energy can clear.

1) Awareness: Becoming aware of true feelings can shift the energy of those feelings. A person is no longer inside theanger, for example, rather they can see that they are feeling anger. Acknowledge the anger is there and give it a lot of attention.

2) Breath: Breathe into anger and keep focusing on feeling that anger. Think about all the different people or situations contributing to that anger. Keep breathing as the images come  to mind.

3) Movement/exercise: Move your body if needed and breathe that anger out. Sometimes energy stays stuck because the body is stagnant and needs movement. Movement stimulates the lymphatic system that flushes fluid and emotions through the body.

4) Visualize and intend: After feeling the mood, attitude and energy shift, visualize light filling into that space. Fill up with a positive bright light, feeling and intention. Every time energy is released, it is important to replace that space with good positive feelings or visualized colors.

Perhaps 30-50 years ago suggesting steps like these would be a bit unusual. However, we are living in a time where mindfulness is part of business, daily living, peak performance, education, therapy practices, and even the medical field. Asking someone to breathe when they are angry does not seem that far-fetched anymore, nor does visualizing a successful and happy life. So why would it be so weird to transform energy in the body? Energy healing, in essence, clears away the emotional and energetic baggage, so that a person can live their fullest brightest self. In this day and age, more people are embracing energy healing because deep down, they know they have potential to feel free inside.

Energy healing can reach places in the body that the mind can't. Those weird people, like me, who can sense these places in the body…well, we are simply skilled at being able to use intuition and a natural 6th sense to help others. The old stigma of energy healing being "weird" is out dated. Many professional settings are turning to mindful techniques that are practiced in energy healing. So as weird as it used to be many more people are embracing energy healing.
