Back Acne - Treatment and Prevention Methods

Back acne, or 'Bacne', is a type of body acne that shows up on the back of our body in the form of pimples, blackheads, pustules, or cysts.
It also tends to form on the upper arms and the buttocks, and can affect people as young as 10 years old.
It is a very irritating problem because it leaves scars if not treated properly, so we cannot really wear bikinis now, can we? It is important to treat back acne to ensure healthy skin and also to get clear, flawless looking skin.
Here, I am going to tell you: a) How to treat b) How to prevent it.
The exact cause of this is still unknown up till today.
Unlike face acne, oily food and dust does not seem to play the role in producing back acne.
It could be caused by tight clothing or a heavy backpack.
These external irritations ensures that the back area of our body is always touched, hence irritates the skin and the skin eventually produces back acne.
It is really a waste of time wondering why it forms on our skin.
We should spend more time treating it instead of searching for the causes.
It can be treated using the following steps: 1.
Gently cleanse the affected area using antibacterial cleanser.
2.
Apply 10% benzoyl peroxide [only use this on your back as the skin is thicker than other exposed parts of the body].
Alpha hydroxy treatments have proven to have worked as well.
Both alpha hydroxyl and benzoyl peroxide can easily be bought at pharmacies, while severe back acne such as cysts can be treated at clinics or hospitals.
Back acne can be prevented by ensuring that dead skin cells are removed from the skin regularly.
Exfoliating your body using a sugar scrub every once a week is quite an effective way.
A sugar scrub is milder than a salt scrub and leaves the skin soft and smooth.
We can certainly show off our great skin now.
