How to Reengage the Carriages on Garage Door Genies
- 1). Pull the plastic release handle hanging from the ceiling-mounted track diagonally toward the power head, which is the main part of the opener at the end of the track containing the lights. Pulling the handle toward the door disengages the carriage.
- 2). Unlock the garage door and raise it by hand until the door re-engages with the carriage. You should hear a click when this happens.
- 3). Push the open button on the garage door opener to resume normal service. Pulling the release handle downward disengages the carousel in the event of another power problem.
