Definition:

Founded in 1983 in honor of Boston theatre critic Elliot Norton, the Elliot Norton Awards honor achievement and excellence in local Boston, Massachusetts theatre, with the awards given out each year in categories that include The Lifetime Achievement Award, the Norton Prize for Sustained Excellence, as well as over a dozen additional awards to productions, performers, directors and designers for superior work.
