- 1). Ask your spouse to refinance the trailer subject to the marital property agreement and court order.
- 2). Contact your mortgage lender and ask for a release from your deed of trust. Although your lender does not have to provide the release, your lender may be able to help you with the transaction by providing status information.
- 3). Ask your attorney to file a contempt proceeding on your behalf. By failing to comply with a court order, your former spouse may be in contempt of court.
- 4). Refinance your trailer. If you and your former spouse have already refinanced the trailer, you must attend a loan closing or settlement where you will sign over the trailer deed to your former spouse in exchange for a release.
