Benzoyl Peroxide - Does This Treatment Really Work?
Is benzoyl peroxide really the best acne treatment? Well after suffering from acne for many years myself I know just how embarrassing the skin disorder is and finding the right treatment is vital if you want to get clear skin fast.
Benzoyl peroxide always appears in acne treatments so that must mean that it does in fact help out acne but are their better treatments? Benzoyl peroxide is basically an ingredient that helps to oxygenate the skin opening up skin pores so they can release impurities and also helps to cleanse them from any bacteria.
My experience with this cream was good as it did help to clear up some of my acne how ever it was very drying to my skin and if you suffer from sensitive skin it definitely is not the best option.
When using benzoyl peroxide you should add about a dime sized piece to your finger and put dots in all corners of your face then gently rub it in.
This process should be done after cleansing as benzoyl peroxide only works when the face is cleansed and pores have been freshly opened.
Because of the drying affect you should also purchase an oil free moisturiser which will help to rehydrate your skin.
So what does work better then this cream? Well another well known treatment is salicylic acid and glycolic acid both of which do similar things how ever they also help to moisture the skin as well.
When suffering from acne you want to keep your skin hydrated because dry skin will only cause excess sebum creation and that in turn will block pores and form new breakouts.
