Murad Anti-Aging Moisturizer SPF 20 PA++ Guide Review:

Good moisturizers are hard to find when you're acne prone. I'd say good facial sunscreens are even harder to find.

Although many people with oily skin can get by without use of a daily moisturizer, that often changes as we get older. And needed an anti-acne product at the same time in you're life that you want an anti-aging product just doesn't seem fair!

Luckily, skin care companies have done a good job catering to those with adult acne. Murad Anti-Aging Moisturizer takes the needs of adults with acne into account.

I always love a moisturizer that already contains sunscreen, because otherwise I'm not apt to use it (a cardinal sin, I know.) The SPF 20 in this moisturizer is OK, but I wish it was a bit higher.

A 30, maybe?

And, if you're wondering about that PA++, that is the Japanese version of our SPF sunscreen rating. Here's a simplified breakdown: PA+ gives mild sun protection, PA++ gives moderate protection, and PA+++ gives the most protection from the sun.
I have to give high marks to this product for absorption abilities. Unlike a lot of sun screening products, this one completely absorbs and doesn't leave the slightest trace of grease or heaviness on the skin. Seriously. Completely absorbs. I love that.
Here's the funny thing. The scent vaguely reminds me of the paste I used to use in kindergarten. It's light with a slightly sweet, almost minty, undertone. It's not a bad smell by any means; it just oddly takes be back to construction paper and safety scissors.

I do have one big issue with this moisturizer -- it isn't nearly moisturizing enough. I can appreciate the fact there's that fine line between being moisturizing but not heavy. This just didn't do it for me. In my twenties, when my skin was more oily, I probably would have loved it. It just doesn't fit my needs now.

For dry skin types, this moisturizer won't be enough. But if you have oilier skin, or it you can't stand moisturizers that leave you feeling too greasy, you'll probably love this one.

This moisturizer/sunscreen combo can also be found in Murad Acne and Aging Skin Solutions skin care kit.
