Vitamin A comes from fish oil and flaxseed oil is said to impart the same benefits, so can take either or with the zinc. It's recommended that you take 25,000 units of vitamin A twice a day or two tablespoons of flaxseed oil along with 50 mg of zinc. These supplements are available at any pharmacy, natural health food store or Whole Foods. - Good hygiene is just as important as your diet if not more so when it comes to acne. Wash your face with a mild soap and oil-free cleansing products. Don't use a washcloth on your face as the occurrence of rubbing may aggravate acne. Don't pop pimples; if you feel the need to, go for a professional facial so you won't be left with scarring.
Make sure you wash your face more than twice a day if you are working out or have occasion to touch your face or sweat a lot. Wash areas covered with any equipment with sports straps extra as sweat may have gotten trapped in those pours. Also try wearing a light cotton shirt underneath any sports uniforms made of synthetic material.
