Fish Oil Supplements for Those Who Do Not Eat Fish

A significant part of population does not eat fish rich with oil. The omrga-3 fatty acids are the elements from which human`s health benefit. As most people`s diet does not include fish enriched with fish oils, research found the way to manufacture triple strength fish oil as dietary supplements.

The medicals conditions for which they are beneficial:

There are two major types of triple strength fish oil, one is Long-chained omega-3 fatty acids where as the other is Short-chained omega-3 fatty acid.
  • EicosaPenthaenoic Acid (EPA): It is of long-chained type. In several medical conditions, this has been proven as part of effective treatment, mostly for lowering inflammation.
  • DocosaHexaenoic Acid (DHA): This also belongs to the category of long- chained type. It is very easily consumed by the body and is mostly helpful for proper brain functionality.
  • Alpha-Linolenic Acid (ALA): This is a short-chained omega-3 fatty acid. It has same effects as that of EPA and helps for blood clotting and building cell membrane in brain.

The fish do not produce fatty acids in the body themselves. The vegetarian diet of fishes includes algae that are enriched with super omega 3 rich oils. There are fishes who only eat vegetarian diet of algae is the main constituent. These fishes are then become the part of the diet of carnivorous fishes such as tuna, shark, swordfish. Whatever amount of fatty acids is found the carnivorous fishes come from the consumption of algae eating fishes.

The requirement of triple strength fish oil in the body has been proven now days, to be significant. It benefits the health and cholesterol of the body. Even though the process of the extortion of fatty acids is not a easy job but still looking at the benefits of it and to make it available for the non- fish eating people it is being done. The oils are extracted from fatty layers of fishes and livers. The raw oil obtained is then subjected to extensive fermentation process. To ensure that no traces of water are left, it is heated at extreme temperatures while being constantly stirred. After all these stages, what one gets is the pure form of the fatty acids as fish oil, which is used to make supplements.
