The government of Canada has some programs and monies in place to help people who have immigrated to Canada.
This information can be useful for those who have already immigrated to Canada as well as the people who are thinking of immigrating to Canada as they will know what to expect.

The federal government has agreed to issue an extra $920 million for five years in order to give additional training in English or French to those who have immigrated to Canada.
In addition, the government of Ontario has $60 million invested in teaching English and French as a second language to immigrants.

Bill 124 which created the Office of the Fairness Commissioner and the Global Experience Ontario; they are responsible to help immigrants find work in their field of study or the area in which they have prior experience.

The bridge training program will help immigrants go from their job in their country into this new job in Canada.
They are there to make this transition period easier for immigrants by assisting them with certification or registration necessary to work in their field.
