  Holsworthy is an ancient market town in the northwest area of Devon in the United Kingdom. The weekly market dates back to the 12th century. The small town holds craft fairs four times a year and has an 18-hole golf course and a heated indoor swimming pool. • The Bickford Arms was built in the 17th century and rebuilt in 2003 after a fire destroyed it. The hotel has five rooms available. All are en-suite with a bath and shower and all rooms have central heating. Each room has modern furniture in a traditional setting. The rooms are all named after members of the Bickford family and have a color television and a tea and coffee maker for guests. The restaurant in the hotel uses ingredients from the local producers and all meals are cooked to order on site. The dishes are traditionally English including dishes such as steak or fish and chips. The hotel will happily organize shooting packages including pheasant, partridge or deer for guests and arrange travel for them.
