When one things of a classic sports car many can come to mind, but one of the most popular will easily be the Porsche 911. The sports car has stood the test of time despite its odd drivetrain layout and has forged quite an impressive history in motorsports. The Porsche 911 has spanned many generations and oftentimes the old models are sought after for their classic lineage and driving capabilities compared to the current models. One aftermarket restoration company in Germany took an old 964 generation Porsche 911 Carrera and made it into a Classic S model with a few modern upgrades along with some classic goodies. The new upgrades include engine optimization, lightweight forged COR Wheels, body work, and interior safety devices.

The new Porsche 911 Carrera Classic S has the classis rear mounted flat six cylinder engine layout that has made the sports car so famous throughout its history and given it distinct driving dynamics. In this model, the German company can install a 3.6 liter or 3.8 liter version of the engine after some modifications. These two engines are capable of sending either 290 or 330 horsepower to each of the rear durable COR Wheels. All of that power is also sent through an updated and stronger manual transmission for better reliability.

The exterior also reflects its more sportive potential sitting behind the cockpit. The German aftermarket tuning and restoration company gave the Porsche 911 Carrera Classic S a new fiberglass body that is wider and more aggressive without taking away from the classic lines. The lightweight body features new matte black hood and trunk covers with contrasting lime green paint adorning the rest of the body except for the factory chrome pieces. The final touch are new white circles on each of the doors in which racing numbers can be placed.

The chassis is where the Porsche 911 really shines. Here, the handling has been improved with a new suspension setup and lightweight COR Wheels. New coilovers replace the old components and offer up a number of custom setups for a given track. The old heavy suspension bits have also been replaced by new lightweight metal components to add to the improved handling. The final touch are a set of new classic styled five spoke COR Wheels made from forged aluminum alloy in a 7.0 x 17 front and 8.5 x 18 rear setup with Michelin Pilot Sport tires.

Inside, driver and passenger are held in place by new sport seats with four point racing harnesses. The entire cabin is also enclosed in a lime green roll cage for safety as well.
