Starting seedlings indoors is a great way to get the jump on your outdoor gardening. Many vegetable gardeners start their seeds indoors four to six weeks before transplanting their crops outside-thus extending their season and increasing their harvest.
Starting seedlings indoors is not difficult and requires attention to only a few details and a gentle hand. In general, seedlings are much more delicate than mature plants and are more likely to die from overfeeding, watering or harsh conditions.
