How do I Disconnect a Beeper on a Magic Chef Oven?
- 1). Press the "Stop/Clear" pad if you hear beeps continuously on your Magic Chef oven while cooking. You should also see a fault code, which appears as an "F" followed by a number, in the display window. This fault code means your oven has a functional error.
- 2). Reprogram the cooking operation, (e.g., baking or broiling).
- 3). Press the "Stop/Clear" pad if your oven beeps continuously during the self-clean cycle. Your Magic Chef oven may beep with a fault code if your oven smokes excessively and/or you have an extremely dirty oven. Let your oven cool for one hour.
- 4). Wipe off excess spills and grease from the bottom of your oven with a clean cloth and warm, soapy water to prevent extra amounts of smoking while your oven cleans, then reprogram your oven for the cleaning cycle. (See Reference 1 pg 7 of 19 and pg 16 of 19.)
- 5). Use only the stove top for cooking if you continue to see a fault code displayed in the window along with the beeping. Do not use your Magic Chef oven until you have the oven control serviced.
