How to Cure Wallpapers

    • 1). Apply paste to the back of the wallpaper using a large paint brush and follow the manufacturer's instructions. Apply an even coat of paste that is not too thin, but doesn't clump up. If the wallpaper is prepasted, use a sponge to dab water onto the paste to activate it. Alternatively, you can roll the paper through a bucket of water.

    • 2). Lay the wallpaper face down horizontally with the paste side facing up. Take the left edge and fold it over to the center of the wallpaper so the design is facing up and the pasted sides are touching.

    • 3). Take the right edge of the wallpaper and fold it to the middle.

    • 4). Start at one end of the wallpaper strip and roll it until you reach the other end. Do not squeeze the wallpaper too tightly.

    • 5). Place the wallpaper into a large plastic bag and close it with a tie wrap or a piece of string. Allow it to set for the time recommended by the manufacturer, typically between 5 and 15 minutes.
