- 1). Make up to two lists of cleaning supplies you want to donate: new and unused cleaning supplies, and partial and used supplies.
- 2). Contact charities you may already donate to and ask if cleaning supplies are also accepted.
- 3). Check with area churches, schools, shelters and food banks, many of which will accept used or new supplies to use on-site or provide to others.
- 4). Ask emergency responders such as police or firefighters, or local or federal government disaster relief or clean-up agencies, if they accept cleaning supplies as donations.
- 5). Post your supplies on a free advertising site such as Craigslist.org or Freecycle.org. Many people can't afford to purchase new supplies or may need specific supplies you have.
- 6). Bag or box the supplies as necessary. Wait for someone to pick up the supplies or drop them off.
