Home Sized Wind Turbines May Get Affordable
Having a home wind turbine just may be a major market in the upcoming years.
The Wall Street Journey recently reported that many people, mainly politicians, celebrities, and well to do adopters of anything the latest, are buying quite readily available expensive wind turbines for personal gratification, or to proclaim a public message.
Jay leno uses one for his garage; President Bush also has one at his Kennebunkport family home.
Approximately 200 are now running but according to the A W E A they are still not readily priced and installed to make the power usage payback a sensible idea yet.
That though may be changing.
Trendy is a trend! The world leading model based from the UK is Quiet Revolution, whose model Q5 model might also be a slight overkill in both the amount of output to cost ration.
For now it is available publicly in the UK as an attractive, sleek and efficient model.
The High tech construction high power output, and other related building costs make this unit very expensive.
The Q R price list offers at about 40,000 quid, or over 80K USD installed.
This unit had better output a lot as dishing out that much would be a lifetime power bill paid, but if located in an ideal location , with the correct incentives, and a love of aesthetics over income this power unit can provide more than just a talk subject.
Quiet Revolution has a model still in the planning stage that would be around half size, but would be close to producing an average home power usage.
But there is no satisfying power demand for the 5, and 12KW models, still in the designing stage.
