How to Change a License Plate Light on a Suburban

- 1). Remove the two screws securing the bulb over the license plate with a Phillips screwdriver.
- 2). Pull the light forward until the bulb and socket slide out of the mounting area. Twist the bulb counterclockwise and pull it out of the socket.
- 3). Insert the new bulb into the socket and turn it clockwise to lock it in place. Insert the new bulb and socket into the mounting area.
- 4). Tighten the two mounting screws on each side of the light assembly with a Phillips screwdriver. Repeat the process on the second license plate light if necessary.
