Great Honour for Martial Arts Instructor
Brighton based Martial Arts school owner and Instructor, Matt Hobden, 33, has just returned from a chance of a lifetime visit to the head quarters of Choi Kwang Do International in Atlanta, USA.
Matt was invited by one of the world's greatest martial artists Grandmaster Kwang Jo Choi to test for his black belt and passed the tough examination under the watchful eye of the Grandmaster himself.
Additionally he also attended the 20th Anniversary celebrations of Choi Kwang Do and met students from other countries including Australia and New Zealand.
Choi Kwang Do is the world's fastest growing martial art.
The art is non-contact and non-competitive and promotes wellbeing, health and fitness through it's easy to learn sequential movements, which attracts people from all walks of life.
Matt said "I have been practicing Choi Kwang Do for over 3 years and it was a great honour to be invited to Atlanta to perform my grading in front of Grandmaster Choi.
" Matt went on to say "there are only a handful of Choi Kwang Do schools in the UK and I have just opened a school, The Choi Foundation, in the Preston Park area.
The trip to Atlanta has greatly enhanced my knowledge of the art and has been a once in a lifetime opportunity".
