- 1). Fill a 5-gallon bucket half full with warm water. Add a few ounces of mild soap to the water and stir. Mild soap does not contain any dyes or perfumes.
- 2). Soak a cloth with the soap and water mixture and wipe down the furniture. You may need to rub the furniture more vigorously if there are bird feces or any other stains on the furniture.
- 3). Pour the contents of the bucket down the drain and rinse out any soap residue. Refill the bucket half full with plain water.
- 4). Pour the water over the furniture until all the soap has been washed away. Refill the bucket as needed.
- 5). Place the furniture into the sun and allow it to air dry.
- 6). Apply a thin coat of automotive wax to the furniture with a soft cloth. Use a wax that is specially formulated to protect vehicles from sun damage.
- 7). Quickly wipe the wax away with a clean cloth.
