    Faneuil Hall

      Faneuil Hall, a National Historic Landmark, is known as the "Cradle of Liberty." The colonial redbrick building was built in 1742 to serve as a gathering spot and marketplace. It is most famous for being the place where Samuel Adams gave patriotic speeches in the 1760s. And if you like Samuel Adams, you can purchase a cold one after the tour at one of the many bars and restaurants in the marketplace on the ground level.

    Boston Common

    • Boston Common is the oldest public park in the United States. It is a 50-acre communal space with gardens, statues, a pond, a burial space for famous historical persons and fountains. The common has historically been used as a public gathering space for protests, and on occasion more controversial happenings such as riots or hangings. Today it is a well-manicured public space where people gather to feed waterfowl as well as admire its landscape and history.

    The Mission Church

    • The Mission Church, also known as The Basilica and Shrine of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, is a Roman Catholic church located at 1545 Tremont Street. The church opened its doors in 1871, and since then has attracted worshipers and pilgrims from all over the world. The shrine is noted for its ornate Byzantine style paintings and sculptures. The shrine hosts regular masses every day, and healing services on the last Sunday of every month.

    Wang Theater

    • The Wang Theater is at 270 Tremont Street, part of the Citi Performing Arts Center complex. This is the go-to place in Boston for concerts, opera and Broadway shows. The Wang Theater opened in 1925, then known as The Metropolitan Theatre. It fell into disrepair in 1970s, but was restored to its former glory in the 1980s by the Wang Family.

    The Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel

    • One of the most notable places to stay in the Boston area is The Fairmont Copley Plaza Hotel. This hotel is in the famous Copley Square near the Boston Public Library, the Museum of Science and the Trinity Church. The hotel, which opened in 1912, has 383 rooms and suites.
