There are certain fundamentals of gaining mass and if you ignore them you will not be able to increase your body mass.
If you are skinny your body metabolism usually works overtime and that is why it becomes very difficult for you to gain body mass.
A lot of hard gainers have had difficulty in gaining weight to the point that they turn to using steroids in order to gain body mass.
The use of steroids is not advisable at all because it usually leads to the following side effects; enlargement of the clitoris, irregularity of the menstrual cycle, growth of facial hair in women, shrinking of testicles in men, low sperm count, decrease in libido, baldness, kidney problems, liver conditions, heart ailments, insomnia, increase in aggression, and depression.
If you want to increase body mass and you are a hard gainer you need to use natural means because they have no side effects.
If you want to gain body mass you must ensure that you take a lot of calories in your diet.
Calories are the keys to gaining body mass and without them you will not be able to attain your goal.
Calories are the fuels of the body without which you can't be able to train intensely in the gym.
There are very many foods which are a great source of calories and they include proteins, carbohydrates, and healthy fat.
Proteins have two important qualities that are very important for a bodybuilder.
One of them includes the ability to repair worn out muscles tissues and the other quality is that proteins contain plenty of calories.
That is why proteins have been tagged the name building blocks of muscles.
If you try to build more muscles without taking proteins it will be like trying to build a brick house without bricks, that is just how important muscles are to bodybuilding.
When increasing your body mass you should concentrate on increasing your body muscles and not your body fat.
In order to increase your body muscles there is only one form of training which can help you achieve this which is weight training.
The only way you can increase your body muscles is through training with weights, there is no way you can go around this rule.
When you apply compound movements in your training you will be able to work many muscle groups at the same time.
There are quite a number of compound exercises which include; squats, dips and lunges, chin ups, bench presses and barbell presses.
You need to perform aerobic exercises but they need to be short but intense.
If you're aerobic sessions go for more than twenty minutes you will be promoting catabolism.
Due to the fact that aerobic exercises can lead to catabolism many bodybuilders tend to ignore this type of exercise.
It is however not advisable to ignore aerobic exercises completely because they have very many positive effects on the health of a person.
When you do aerobic exercises it increases the efficiency of your weight training session.
You also need to rest in order to increase your body mass.
