How to Apply Makeup & Minimize Pores
- 1). Wet your face with warm water. Remove old makeup and excess oil by cleansing your face with a creamy skin cleanser. Squirt a nickel-sized amount of cleanser into your hands. Apply the cleanser to your face, rubbing it in a circular motion. Especially scrub the area that has the largest pores. Avoid getting cleanser in your eyes. Wash your face once in the morning before applying makeup and once at night before you go to sleep.
- 2). Rinse your face with warm water, making sure to remove all the cleanser from your skin. Don't forget to rinse any soap from your neck, too. Use a clean towel to pat your skin dry.
- 3). Open the microdermabrasion kit. Remove the exfoliating cream and squirt a nickel-sized amount onto your fingers. Use your index and middle finger and rub the exfoliant onto your skin. Scrub the area that has the large pores for a minute, then rinse your face with warm water.
- 4). Apply the replenishing liquid that should be in your microdermabrasion kit. Squirt a dime-sized amount into your palm, then apply it to your face. This will seal your pores after your deep-cleansing routine. Use the microdermabrasion kit once or twice a week.
- 5). Apply an oil-free moisturizer to your skin if it feels dry. Let your skin dry for one minute, then apply your foundation makeup with the kabuki brush. Shake some of the foundation powder into the lid of the powder container. Using the kabuki brush, sweep up some of the mineral powder. Apply it to your face in circular motions, starting with your forehead. Apply two layers of foundation to your face and neck for a smooth finish.
