Anna Maria Island allows you to feel as though you're on your own private island but still close enough to modern conveniences. Anna Maria Island is located one hour south of Tampa, with seven miles of beaches on the Gulf of Mexico. The island is known for its pristine, white-sugar sand beaches. You can also spend time biking or boating, as there are several outfitters who provide rentals. Anna Maria Beach Cottages is located on the northwest section of the Island. There are 11 cottages for rent. Amenities include kitchens with toasters, blenders and coffee pots. Additionally, there are pots, pans, dishes, silverware and glassware for guests to use. Hair dryers are provided. Washers and dryers are not provided, but guests have access to a 24-hour guest laundry room.
All of the cottages have decks or patios with furniture. Some have grills. If yours does not, there are three charcoal grills located in the designated picnic area.
Anna Maria Beach Cottages also provides guests with beach supplies--beach chairs, umbrellas, pails, shovels, boogie boards and noodles. There is also a pool.

Cedar Cove Resort & Cottages is located in the middle of the island directly on the beach. There are six cottages--one- or two-bedroom efficiencies--for rent. The cottages are set amid lush tropical plants. Each cottage has a theme, such as Sunflower or Key Lime, and most offer queen-size beds. There is a hot tub available for guests as well as beach-side hammocks.

Anna Maria Pirate's Den has two one-bedroom cottages for rent. They feature private patios with barbecues, satellite TV and central air conditioning. Guests have access to a pool and laundry facilities. All of the cottages are non-smoking, but smoking is permitted on the patios. The beach is located across the street.
