One Year

• If someone is injured as a result of assault and battery, the statute of limitations gives him one year to sue the person who injured him under under Arkansas Code 16-56-104. If someone is injured in another way, he may have three years to sue.
  
  

Three Years

• For other types of personal injury, an individual may have three years to sue under Arkansas Code 16-56-105. This is the more generous provision.
