- 1). The tongue helps you with many things that you do everyday of your life.Without the tongue; you would not be able to talk,chew,taste,and swallow.Realizing how vital the tongue is to everyone is taken for granted.You can read the signs of your tongue to pin point health problems also.
- 2). We always wonder why Doctors ask us to open our mouth wide to examine our tongues. This offers them a quick door to be opened to health problems that we may have.
- 3). Inflamed or Swollen Tongue:
This sign of the tongue can realate to lack of nutritional deficiencies such as vitamin B. Most mother's know that when ulcers are found on a childs tongue, that a fever is on the rise. - 4). The Tip of Tongue:
The tip of the tongue tells us that health problems may be occuring in the heart and small intestine area.When a red overall or red dots are found,this can be a sign of stress and anxiety. It also may point to conditions such as such as celiac disease, obsessive-compulsive disorder or a phobia. - 5). Behind the Tip of Tongue:
This area points to the respiratory and immune systems. Redness and red dots here may also tell us of a respitory infection.This includes bronchitis and pneumonia, or emphysema. - 6). Right and left sides of the Tongue:
This area can be pointed in the direction of the liver area.When the tongue is enlarged,you will detect teeth markings on the sides of the tongue.This could point to a liver problem, hepatitis, an enlarged liver or a fatty liver, a common side effect of diabetes. They could also indicate low energy, distension around the lower ribs or abdominal swelling. If a discolorization of blue-green or purple spots appear on the tongue's sides, you may have a more serious condition, such as liver cancer or cirrhosis. - 7). Center of Tongue:
This area of the tongue is pointing at the digestive area of the body.The pancreas,stomach or spleen are relative here.A redness with a yellowish coating may occur on the tongue pointing to acid reflux and Crohn's disease. - 8). Back of Tongue:
This points to the kidney and bladder area of the body.A thick, yellow coating will form on the back center of the tongue.If this is detected; you may be a candidate for kidney stones or a bladder infection.Kidney failure also is not out of the question here.
